Hello everyone, my name is Chris Evenson.
My wife and I met in Austin in 2013 while chasing our careers and decided to move to Abilene in March 2017. As an original Abilenean for her, this is where we decided to call home and start a family. I started Abilene Window Tinting in May 2017 and have grown my clientele enough to expand my business over the last 8 years. I have been blessed with a set of unique skills, patience, and an eye for detail which allows me to perform my trade achieving the best possible results. EXPERIENCE- I started tinting in 1996 in Columbia, MO. I learned how to clean, cut, heat shrink, and install window tint on my own and with a little help via phone call to a tint shop in North Dakota, Tintmasters. Shane was gracious enough to give me tips to help further my skills. In 2001, I opened a successful tint shop in Columbia for 8 years. In 2013, I was offered a position with Xpel Technologies becoming their paint protection film install manager at their new store in Austin. I was in charge of installing film, training new employees, communicating with customers, delivering vehicles, and managing the location. The time at Xpel allowed me to work on and be entrusted with some of the finest vehicles ever built. It included everything from Subaru, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. The highest valued car I was entrusted to work on was a $1.4 million McLaren P1 in 2015. Check out the PPF gallery for pictures I took of all the vehicles I’ve personally worked on. I say this not to brag, but to assure you that experience matters. Any company that offers a large number of years of experience doesn’t necessarily mean the person doing the work actually has that experience. I am mostly a one-man crew who has done the actual work and will be doing the work. I treat every vehicle the same.

We will not condone nor persuade anyone we know or have done work with to leave a bad review on a competitor, period. The reviews on Abilene Window Tinting are from actual customers in Abilene and the Big Country. We do not have multiple stores combining reviews and are not a franchise where everything is generic information. Abilene Window Tinting is a personable company, who will be honest with you about your vehicle, home or office. Staff is limited for a few reasons: 1) it keeps miscommunication down, 2) you are dealing with the installer, salesman, and owner all in one, 3) it builds a personal relationship with the business, and 4) the quality stays on par. A result in a single owner/operator also includes work overload at times. I try my very best to get back to everyone, but I am limited and ask for patience and grace.
